Servant Leadership in a Time of Crisis Academy
Partnership for Renewal offers the Servant Leadership in a Time of Crisis (SLTC) Academy, a 3-hour Zoom pre-recorded webinar designed to offers churches support during the coronavirus pandemic as well as preparing them for what follows quarantine and reopening. This package also includes two live Zoom follow-up meetings to enable discussion on questions, clarifications, and/or practical next-steps for participating churches.
SLTC focuses on four key concepts: servant-leadership, evangelism, stewardship, and mission-future church. These are not new concepts in the church, but our approach to them is, and it involves a heart change that ism discerned using Scripture and prayer, and involves lay and clergy, praying and listening together.
We believe that every church is unique and uniquely gifted for a divine purpose which is dynamic and living , just as God is dynamic and living in them. Aware of the sudden increase in work for clergy and lay leadership as a result of the pandemic shut-down and reopening efforts, PfR yokes ourselves to participant churches to share the load and facilitate their transition onto a new post-pandemic path by providing order, focus, and practical steps clergy and lay leadership can take to reimagine their ministries and lead their churches forward.
This SLTC Academy and two follow-up live Zoom meetings are offered free to churches thanks to generous grants by a private donor and the Stephen D. Mitchell Foundation.
